Call for papers

Scientific articles must be focussed to promote the progress of science. They should be accompanied by experiments and results that prove some hypotheses of a research. The manuscripts must be written only in English. These contributions must be original, not published in any other conference or scientific journal or should not have been evaluated at another similar event.

All manuscripts that report rigorous investigative processes Full Papers with a length between 12 and 15 pages which includes figures, tables and bibliographic references, will be received due June, 27. All manuscripts will undergo a thorough double-blind review by at least 3 reviewers (see our international program committee). These documents must not contain the names of the authors, or the affiliations or any information that may reveal their identity. This information will be delivered with the final version of the manuscript.

Once the article is accepted, the authors should improve it by considering the reviewers’ comments/suggestions without exceeding the page limit. We encourage authors to include their ORCIDs in their manuscript. All accepted articles will be published in the Communications in Computer and Information Science proceedings – CCIS proceedings series and included in SpringerLink. 

Approximately nine weeks after publication the author will be able to check the indexing of his article in Scopus.

Communications in Computer and Information Science proceedings are submitted for Scopus, Clarivate Analytics’ Web of Science, EI, DBLP, etc.

At the moment you submit your manuscript to the easy-chair platform for review, you must register all authors with their respective emails and affiliations. However, the PDF file must be submitted without names or affiliations. The final version should include this information in the header of the manuscript as well as the ORCID of the authors (see template). In the final version, it is not possible to add more authors than those registered in easy-chair when uploading the article for review. Authors who have included their email addresses in their articles will receive an email approximately four weeks after the publication of the proceedings, to link them to their personal My Springer page.

At least one author for each article must register to attend and present the work at the Conference. If the registration is not done on time, the article will not be published in the volume.

Submission and reviewing process

Original and unpublished contributions will be received. They must be aligned to the topics of the conference in their different fields of action and related to the central thematic line of the event. The Technical Articles present novel applications, practical experiences, and technical challenges making use of a certain scientific foundation. The author can send.

• Scientific or technological research articles: presents in detail the original results of completed research projects. The structure generally used contains four important sections: introduction, methodology, results, and conclusions.
• Review article: the result of completed research where the results of investigations, published or not, are analyzed, systematized, and integrated, whether in the scientific, artistic, or technological artistic field, to account for the advances and trends of growth.

The accepted manuscripts will be published in a special issue of the REVISTA TECNOLÓGICA ESPOL – RTE which belongs to Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral – ESPOL.

Prepare your manuscript :

• Template: RTE tempalte (.docx)
• Language: Spanish or English.
• Author information: Surname and name, filiation, ORCID number, and e-mail.
• Title: Spanish and English, 15 words of length.
• Abstract: It must not exceed 250 words and is presented in Spanish and English.
• Keywords: Four to six words must be ordered alphabetically. The first word with an initial capital letter, the rest in lowercase, separated by a comma (,). They must be presented in Spanish and English. These serve to classify the article thematically.
• Sections: Introduction; Methodology with sections headed with Arabic numbers (1, 2, 3 …) and/or subsections (A, B, C …); Conclusions and References. If necessary, tables, images, and figures are numbered and referenced before being shown.
• Extension: 4.000 to 7.000 words.
• Citas: APA 7 format.
